Medical school, while not easy, is a time of growth and development. If you have questions, need support, or just want to talk to someone who has been through it, please feel free to contact us. We are in the process of developing a mentorship program that would allow DMU students to interact with current IOMA members to assist you in your journey.
As a member, we will send you our monthly electronic newsletter, and other important updates and alerts but we won’t inundate your inbox.
We offer educational events throughout the year and our main conference is the Upper Midwest Osteopathic Medical Conference, which will be held May 2-4, 2024 at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines. You are welcome to attend, sit in on various lectures and talk with active DO members and speakers. Look for further details in the upcoming weeks and know that we offer all DMU DO students free registration to this meeting, but we do ask that you preregister.
We are very aware that you have limited time and resources but if you are looking for leadership opportunities, you can volunteer to serve on one of the IOMA committees. Perhaps you are a social media expert and would like to help our Communications Committee or maybe you have an interest in legislation and would like to join our Government Relations Committee. Serving on a committee helps you develop your personal skills and competencies. Just let us know.
